Are you looking for a place to volunteer your time?

Sacristans are specially trained in the preparation of the sanctuary for the celebration of Mass.  They are also trained in the proper methods for purifying and cleaning the Communion bowls,  Chalices, and Cups, all of which are used  as vessels for the precious Body and Blood of our Lord during the Mass.

Sacristans are required to arrive well in advance of the scheduled liturgy to set out the proper vessels and the unconsecrated bread and wine.  They will also ensure the purificators and other incidentals are ready for the scheduled liturgy.   They may also be called upon to prepare the Baptismal area should a Baptism be scheduled at a given Mass.

If you are interested in participating as a Sacristan, please contact Fr. Trask or  Deacon Tom Daw

Mass for the Homebound

For the benefit of the homebound, we are making a video recording of our weekend Mass, usually the 10:30 AM. This may also serve to educate non-Catholics who may tune in as to how we celebrate the Mass. The recording schedule will typically not vary.  The recorded Mass will be broadcast on the following Thursday on the Oberlin Cable Co-op, channel 9, at 1:00PM and 8:00PM.
